Schubert für alle
3 moderated concerts in the Schubert-Saal
Franz Schubert's songs from different perspectives, explored in words and sound: portrait artist Julian Prégardien delves into the work of the great Romantic composer in our new cycle. He invites guests such as Bryan Benner from the art song-savvy singer-songwriter ensemble The Erlkings, the young soprano Erika Baikoff and the Iranian singer Avin Ahmadi to explore Schubert's oeuvre – and other treasures such as Persian songs and poetry – both through music and in conversation. In the first two concerts, it will also be your turn, dear audience: choose your favorites from Schubert's more than 600 songs, which Julian Prégardien and pianist Daniel Heide will then interpret spontaneously in the second half of the concert. A get-together with the artists will round off the Schubert-themed evening.
