Pianistic eloquence

Sir András Schiff has played Mozart's piano works on his fortepiano, inscribed himself in the memories of thousands of fans with his interpretations of both the New and Old Testament of keyboard art - Bach's »Well-Tempered Clavier« and Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas (according to Hans von Bülow) - and set new standards with his interpretation of the »Goldberg Variations«: He looks back on a life's work as a pianist that has enriched the listening experiences of countless people over the decades. For fellow musicians and audiences alike, his interpretations of the piano canon are an example of pianistic eloquence, impressive contemplation of works and spiritual depth. In June, the grand seigneur honors us with a program of his musical household gods Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms.
