sound:chat

The diversity of music and versatile artists who talk about it in a relaxed atmosphere await you at »sound:chat«. Immerse yourself in the culture and myths of Venezuela with the Tocuyito Trio. Our portrait artist Dorothee Oberlinger and her students will show you how exciting and passionate works composed around 400 years ago can be. »Film off and on with the instruments!« is the motto when the Mozart Hall becomes a movie theater during the screening of the short film »Sonnensittich«, accompanied by live performances by musicians from the Viennese jazz and classical music scene. And singer-songwriter LYLIT presents her new project, for which she is collaborating with jazz musician Benny Omerzell. Musician, composer and actor Michael Stark is always on board. He hosts the one-hour concerts and the subsequent meet & greet.

Following the cycle concerts - Buffet Berio-Saal

Meet & Greet
After the concerts you can meet the artists at the meet the artists for a drink* at the buffet. They are equipped with the latest records, chat from the sewing box and give give personal insights into their work. Moderated The Meet & Greet will be hosted by Michael Stark.

Vorhören!

In workshops during the first part of the concert, the young audience will explore great works: Mahler's first and probably most catchy symphony, Stravinsky's ballet »Petrushka«, which is about a character similar to our Punch and Judy, Tchaikovsky's »Fate Symphony« and Schubert's »Great C major Symphony«, which was praised as »heavenly« by its discoverer Schumann. Experts teach these impressive works to young audiences in age-appropriate workshops.
