Nothing is safe from him: Alex Paxton is often referred to as a »system crasher«. As a multi-stylist and improvising jazz trombonist, he knows no contradiction between entertainment, highly complex work structure and breathtaking virtuosity. Set pieces from video game music, classical chamber music and free jazz are fused in a compositional blast furnace to create a high-energy musical language - an evening-long and guaranteed dizzying journey.
