Colors and sounds
»For me, music is the telling of an abstract story. You take your listeners with you through different colors, atmospheres and textures«, says Dutch composer Mathilde Wantenaar. Her »Prélude à une nuit américaine«, written in 2019, captivates with its nocturnal, mysterious atmosphere and a jazzy, American touch. Richard Strauss' four-movement symphonic fantasy »From Italy« offers the opportunity to trace the picturesque beauty of the eponymous country in sound. And our Great Talent Lukas Sternath also knows how to captivate the audience. Since winning the ARD Music Competition 2022, he has been one of the brightest stars in the pianist sky. With the Vienna RSO under the direction of Markus Poschner, he will perform Sergei Prokofiev's Third Piano Concerto, which combines sparkling virtuosity with lyrical passages.
