We welcome stars and shooting stars in the »Jazz« cycle: drummer Brian Blade, for example, provides the right drive; the jazz ballads by Gregory Porter are timeless and contemporary. If you love a swinging brass sound, the legendary Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra is the right choice. »The Art of the Trio« is celebrated in the »Jazz unplugged« cycle - on two dates even in an »extended version« with star guests: after sensational debuts at the Wiener Konzerthaus, pianists Emmet Cohen, Sullivan Fortner and Danny Grissett, among others, present themselves for the first time as bandleaders of their own (trio) formations. Our cycle »The Art of Brass« with exquisite ensembles and artistic brass music promises a tour de force through styles, tastes and volumes. We welcome blockbusters of Viennese concert life such as Thomas Gansch's Blasmusik Supergroup or Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Canadian Brass, another legend of the international brass music scene, will be making a guest appearance in Vienna.
