Regula Mühlemann
She has no fear of heights. On the other hand, the audience can sometimes get dizzy when Regula Mühlemann scales sparkling heights with her clear-as-a-bell soprano. But the Lucerne singer moves in different terrains sure-footed and with ease. She describes herself as a lyric coloratura soprano. She began with Mozart roles, but now her repertoire also includes romantic works. The portrait offers special programmes: The enchanting soprano takes us to the realm of fairies and elves in a solo programme with songs and arias from Edvard Grieg to Jules Massenet. Rarities by Swiss composers are heard in a song recital; she celebrates »Frühling in Wien« (Spring in Vienna) with Robert Stolz's »Flower Songs« and lends her fairytale voice to Mozart's heroines in a concert with the Basel Chamber Orchestra.
