Patricia Kopatchinskaja
Patricia Kopatchinskaja, the youngest honorary member of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, is the subject of the most extensive portrait of the 2023/24 season. And the range of her activities is just as extensive: as a violinist, she presents chamber music as well as a concert staged by herself, in whose program she is also represented as a composer, as well as a new solo concerto by Aureliano Cattaneo, commissioned by the Wiener Konzerthaus, and the Violin Concerto by Arnold Schönberg. In the latter's epochal »Pierrot lunaire«, according to Igor Stravinsky the »solar plexus of modernity«, she can also be heard as a diseuse - as once Albertine Zehme did in the legendary premiere tour of the work she inspired, in the Pierrot costume.
