Der 1945 in Allentown in Pennsylvania geborene Pianist Keith Jarrett gilt als Genie zwischen Jazz, freier Improvisation und Klassik. Er spielte mit Miles Davis und Arvo Pärt. Sein »Köln-Konzert« verkaufte 3,5 Millionen Stück. Seine Liebe gehört den amerikanischen Standards, denen er mit seinen musikalischen Partnern Gary Peacock am Bass und Jack DeJohnette am Schlagzeug neue Facetten entlockt. Das Trio kommt - nach einem Sologastspiel von Keith Jarrett 2004 - nun nach 23 Jahren wieder nach Wien.
