»Air«

Nikolaus Habjan delights his audience with an art steeped in tradition. Artistic whistling has fascinated audiences as far back as the 19th century, when it quickly found popularity on the vaudeville and cabaret stages. While the »Queen of the Night« aria already makes a strong impression as a vocal performance, it seems almost inconceivable that one could whistle this masterpiece of coloratura. But it’s a piece of cake for art whistlers! Nikolaus Habjan brings the year to a close »in lofty heights« with charm and good humour using the sounds of a period instrument ensemble.
