Sounding future

According to the Financial Times, Yulianna Avdeeva is an artist who »lets the music breathe«. In 2010, she made her international breakthrough as winner of the Chopin Competition. Since then, she has performed with the most important orchestras worldwide. Alongside the Camerata Salzburg, she interprets Mozart's Piano Concerto in A major K 488, one of the composer's most famous works. Its progressive layout anticipates the virtuoso piano concertos of Beethoven and the Romantic period. Schubert's posthumously published Great C Major Symphony was also forward-looking. And with the British Finnegan Downie Dear, an up-and-coming young conductor can be experienced at the Camerata Salzburg's guest performance: The winner of the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition has been a member of the Royal Academy of Music since 2017. In May he will take the podium of the Salzburg orchestra for the first time and will also make his Konzerthaus debut.
