Promoter's details

Nazanin Aghakhani, conductor, composer and pianist founded »Iunctus - the Orchestra« (lat. iunctus = connected, united) in 2020 in Vienna, in the midst of the pandemic, to provide musicians who could not perform abroad due to restrictions, a new and fresh musical platform.
The eccentric and exceptional artist Aghakhani sees it to her mission in building pathways between old and new repertoire and also in creating unforgettable, unique moments through music for both people on stage and in the audience.
Nazanin Aghakhani, Viennese born, was the first woman in history to ever conduct an orchestra in Iran in 2010 (Tehran Symphony Orchestra).
In June 2022 Aghakhani was the first Viennese woman in about 100 years to conduct the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Nazanin Aghakhani will present next to jewels by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giacomo Puccini also a world premiere that she especially composed for this very evening, to be witnesses by the audience for the first time.
