DIY Rap from Vienna
In the past few years, important impulse givers:inside for German-language rap came from Vienna. YUGO, formerly known as Jugo Ürdens, is certainly one of them. Born in Skopje in 1996, he moved to Vienna at the age of seven and grew up in Vienna's 16th district. His 2018 debut album »YUGO« created a real hype around his person. Numerous awards and nominations were joined by releases such as »The album that should already be released in 2020« (2022). In his music, YUGO disregards clichéd rap topics such as violence, weapons and money and instead provides insight into his world: his life with an immigrant background in Austria and his personal experiences and conflicts - transparent and refreshingly honest. Now »the most beautiful man in Vienna« can be experienced for the first time at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
