Presented by Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft

Public masterclass with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy

With his Septet op. 20, Beethoven established the history of Viennese chamber music in quasi-symphonic scoring and created the model for Schubert's Octet as well as for Brahms' septet version of his first orchestral serenade. Experience Beethoven with seven-league boots »on the way to the great symphony«, the first of which he was to present immediately after his septet. You can look forward to members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy shedding musical light on the work. The public masterclass will be moderated by Michael Bladerer and Josef Hell.
