»Saturn«

The Greeks called Saturn - after their god of time - Chronos; the ruler also in a dimension where the sounds move. This outermost planet of our solar system, visible to the naked eye, was long considered the farthest from the center of the Earth and at the same time the slowest, most solemn and darkest celestial body. As a deity responsible for melancholy, genius and misfortune, Saturn acts as a natural enemy of orderly existence. Under his influence, melancholy often abruptly alternates with states of distress and enthusiastic passion. Prague's Cappella Mariana creates a musical psychogram of the melancholic temperament, which has been the subject of intense speculation since antiquity.
