After the 29th edition of our Early Music Festival, which was shattered due to Corona, but fortunately did not go down completely without a sound, we want to really let it rip in the 30th year! Between the ceremonial opening with the performance of, among others Henry Purcell's Birthday Ode »Celebrate this Festival« by Le Poème Harmonique, works for large ensembles by Cristobal de Morales and Claudio Monteverdi, interpreted by Hesperion XXI, Le Concert des Nations and the Capella Reial de Catalunya conducted by Jordi Savall, and the pompous finale of Handel's »Fireworks Music«, blared by the formidable battery of the Collegium 1704, we want to give you many more good reasons to celebrate with us. Freely according to the motto: »HIP HIP hooray! Another early music day!«
