»Les femmes« - women are the theme of the 34th edition of the Early Music Festival. Women in music is an eternal theme with an inexhaustible number of tonal colours, variations and perspectives. Be it the female voice itself, the virtuosity of female musicians and the genius of female composers, but also their ongoing struggle for recognition and equality in a society that is mostly characterised and dominated by patriarchy.

The »Resonances« 2026 musically and programmatically reflect gender roles, emancipation and empowerment. We are looking forward to fantastic artists, including Dorothee Oberlinger, Katharina Bäuml, Le Poème Harmonique, the Huelgas Ensemble and Jordi Savall's Les Musiciennes du Concert des Nations.
