On 17 and 18 March - the 95th and 96th performances of the masterpiece at the Wiener Konzerthaus - the St Matthew Passion can be experienced with an exquisite line-up of soloists, the Vienna Singakademie and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under Matthew Halls.

The Rückert songs will be flanked on this evening by Richard Strauss' popular tone poem »Also sprach Zarathustra« and another tone poem by the late Romantic composer Hugo Alfvén, performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Harding.
