4er-Package Resonanzen

»Apocalypse« – a classic example of how a seemingly harmless Greek word meaning »uncovering« or »revelation« can take on some of the most hair-raising eschatological connotations. What plagues, irrational fears and religious hallucinations aren't automatically conjured up by the word, what terrors does it not evoke, revealing the very darkest aspects of human nature? Dramatic musicalisations of the countless bloodthirsty atrocities which the Old Testament is so full of provide the framework for our »nouvelle noir« on man's preoccupation with himself. And in between, you will find a wealth of assassinations, »Holy Crusades«, revolutions and mystic »Séancen«. Catastrophes and their very many different interpretations are the dominant theme of the latest edition of the Resonanzen. And once again, the festival brings together the crème de la crème of the early music scene.
