The »Fridays@7« cycle is varied, both in the main concerts and in the concert performances, which are mainly performed by ensembles from the ranks of the orchestra. Among the soloists, special mention should be made of Vilde Frang, WSY Artist in the 2022/23 season, the trio of young stars María Dueñas, Kian Soltani and Patrick Hahn, who will perform Beethoven's Triple Concerto together, and our »Great Talent« Anton Gerzenberg, who will make his debut with the orchestra. The program includes sparkling and witty works such as Shostakovich's Suite for Variety Orchestra (long erroneously known as »Jazz Suite No. 2«) with its waltz familiar from the soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's »Eyes Wide Shut.«
