Have you heard? Vienna is no longer said to be the most liveable city in the world. But no one can dispute its unique musical tradition. This is not just »Schall & Rauch«, as Roland Neuwirth once again proves in a belated birthday concert, even if the sounds naturally fade away as quickly as his cigarette smoke passes by. While the innovator of the Viennese song is a guest for the last time with the Exschrammeln – together with the Schall & Rauch Orchester, Florian Krumpöck and the radio.string.quartet – others can be heard for the first time in the Wiener Konzerthaus: Sterzinger V, led by the idiosyncratic border crosser Stefan Sterzinger, as well as the original storyteller ANDYMAN with Herbert Berger. Katharina Hohenberger with Wiener Brut or the Kollegium Kalksburg take on the local art of song, as do Martin Spengler & die foischn Wiener. And Agnes Palmisano devotes herself to the art of bagpiping. You should hear this!
