The piano trio is a genre rich in both tradition and important works and naturally enjoys a prominent role in the chamber music programme of the Wiener Konzerthaus. Violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, who made his debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus in 2010 in the gala final of the International Fritz Kreisler Competition and promptly won 1st prize, and cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, the Wiener Konzerthaus's »Great Talent« from 2017 to 2019, experienced an evening together as part of our »Chamber Music« cycle in July 2021 as such a delightful experience that they decided to launch a new trio with pianist Georgy Tchaidze. As piano trio »in residence«, they present themselves this season with works that pay tribute to their origins and highlights of the piano trio literature. In the final concert of the cycle they will meet »Great Talent« Vivi Vassileva.
