They make no distinction between famous and unknown masters of the art of music: with sensitivity and joyful playing, the Quatuor Mosaïques not only brings highlights of the genre such as Mozart's »Dissonance Quartet«, Schubert's »Death and the Maiden«, several works by Haydn or Beethoven's op. 131 to the stage. The programme also includes string quartets by two highly talented composers who died at an early age: the »Basque Mozart« Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga and Hyacinthe Jadin, whose works point ahead to the Romantic period. At the end of the season, they will perform Chopin's highly romantic 2nd Piano Concerto in the version for piano and string quartet with the multiple prize-winner Kevin Kenner.
