Orchester international
8 Konzerte im Großen Saal
Saalplan mit 8 Kategorien (Großer Saal)
There is a long tradition that great renowned orchestras always have an international line-up, and the Bavarian State Orchestra reminds us of this at the beginning of the cycle. Its beginnings date back to the time when Orlando di Lasso led an illustrious court orchestra of the best German, Dutch and Italian musicians in Munich. Vladimir Jurowski's program for this anniversary includes Mahler's4. Symphony on the program. Two of the most important French orchestras, conducted by Finnish and Romanian conductors respectively, and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra with its Russian-American chief conductor Semyon Bychkov will also be taking part in the guest program. The Budapest Festival Orchestra under Iván Fischer will be performing Brahms twice, the Oslo Philharmonic and the Finnish shooting star Klaus Mäkelä will be interpreting late romantic tone poems, and Christian Thielemann from Berlin will be conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Then as now.
