Saalplan mit 6 Kategorien (Großer Saal)
A showcase of the jazz world at the Vienna Konzerthaus: the kings of swing, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, make a guest appearance with Hammond organist Akiko Tsuruga; star saxophonist Joshua Redman celebrates a tribute to the music of the USA from Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia" to Count Basie's "Going to Chicago" with singer Gabrielle Cavassa. His guildmate Lakecia Benjamin pays tribute to John Coltrane and brings a good dose of funk. After her phenomenal debut last season, Grammy winner Samara Joy discovers the timeless beauty of familiar jazz standards with "Linger awhile." Avishai Cohen lets Latin beats blaze on his latest project, "Iroko," and Immanuel Wilkins, who arrives with his quartet, marks the debut of a remarkable rising star in jazz.
