Mittagsmusik
8 Konzerte mittwochs im Schubert-Saal
Saalplan mit 2 und 4 Kategorien (Schubert-Saal)
The »Mittagsmusik« cycle presents masterpieces, especially from the Viennese Classical and Romantic periods, in chamber music's core and supreme disciplines. Yumeka Nakagawa, Anna Geniushene and Jonathan Fournel, three prizewinners of international competitions, will make their recital debuts. The Silver-Garburg piano duo, whose expertise lies particularly in Schubert's oeuvre, will be a guest once again. The Leonkoro Quartet has catapulted itself to the Olympus of chamber music with several competition victories - they will give an impression of their skills with their interpretation of Beethoven's and Schubert's string quartets. The Sitkovetsky Trio, which also received an »award«, has dedicated itself to the art of the piano trio, bringing the orchestral note of chamber music to the fore with Ravel. The more intimate side is turned to cycle debutant Patricia Nolz and Malcolm Martineau in Schumann's song cycle »Frauenliebe- und leben«. The young singer is associated with the Wiener Konzerthaus as a »Great Talent« - just as Julia Hagen once was and Anton Gerzenberg is currently.
