Company of Music
3 Konzerte im Mozart-Saal
Saalplan mit 6 und 4 Kategorien (Mozart-Saal)
The motto of this cycle is »together« - between audience and musicians, between different works of vocal music and between the experienced Company of Music and young choirs: At 6:30 p.m. there will be a pre-concert with a youth choir accompanied by the Company of Music for visitors to the cycle concerts. For a request concert, the ensemble will create a »real book« of the most beautiful a cappella works of the last 500 years together with the audience, which will be involved via online voting. Four young composers will present well-known Christmas carols in a new light - as Charpentier did in his »Messe de minuit pour Noël«. In 1943, during the German occupation of France in World War II, Francis Poulenc created the a cappella cycle »Figure humaine«, which culminates in a cry for freedom fanned out over four octaves. Morton Feldman's homage to the painter Mark Rothko commemorates the Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
The 23-24 choral partnership will also host COMpanion concerts one hour prior.
