Saalplan mit 6 und 4 Kategorien (Mozart-Saal)
After their brilliant start as resident piano trio, Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Narek Hakhnazaryan and Georgy Tchaidze dedicate themselves to works of the - especially late - Romantic period. Repertoire classics by Mendelssohn, Brahms and Dvořák are among them as well as rarities, such as »Tristia«, one of the few chamber music works by Franz Liszt, the piano trio by Ernest Chausson, the only piano trio movement by Edvard Grieg or the Elegy op. 23 by Josef Suk, one of his only two compositions for piano trio. In addition, there will be modernist works such as Ernest Bloch's »Three Nocturnes« and the piano trio by Mieczysław Weinberg, as well as a new work by the internationally successful Finnish composer Sauli Zinovjev. All these pieces will be presented by an ensemble that is as virtuosic as it is eager to discover for a curious audience.
