Originalton
1 Lesung im Mozart-Saal
2 Lesungen im Berio-Saal
Three authors tell stories of life in »Originalton«, accompanied by music. In Maxim Biller's »Mama Odessa«, a son and his mother cope with the turbulent history of their Russian-Jewish family with humour and melancholy. Austrian singer-songwriter Felix Kramer will sing »Oh how beautiful life is«. The heroine of Navid Kermani's »Das Alphabet bis S« deals with a year of loss by following the rule of reading all the books that remain unread on the shelf. Composer and percussionist Manos Tsangaris and pianist Pi-hsien Chen accompany the literary self-discovery. In Ilija Trojanow's time travel novel »Tausend und ein Morgen«, the chronicler Cya sets off from a paradisiacal future full of justice to the sorrowful past in order to optimise it retrospectively. Dietmar Wiesner and Sava Stoianov, members of the magnificent Ensemble Modern, join the journey on flute and trumpet.
