7 Konzerte im Mozart-Saal
Saalplan mit 6 und 4 Kategorien (Mozart-Saal)
Schubert and Schumann characterise the programme of the »Lied« cycle. The latter is represented right at the beginning on an evening with Katharina Konradi and Catriona Morison, which will make the hearts of lovers of duet singing beat faster. The much sought-after soprano Sabine Devieilhe sings songs by Lili Boulanger and Richard Strauss. Christian Gerhaher, the grand seigneur of the art of song, is the first singer since Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau to present a recording of all 299 Schumann songs - at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the subtle Schumann expert will devote himself to the composer in a series of song recitals over several seasons. Schumann is also at the centre of an evening with high-flyer Patricia Nolz. Nadine Sierra is celebrated for her shimmering, brilliant soprano and her phenomenal stage presence at the world's most renowned theatres. She has been heard far too rarely in Vienna. Two concerts are dedicated entirely to Schubert: Andrè Schuen and Julian Prégardien will perform the »Schwanengesang« and the »Schöne Müllerin«.
