Great jazz in an intimate setting: »The Art of the Trio« is celebrated in the »Jazz unplugged« cycle - on two dates even in an »extended version« with star guests. After sensational debuts at the Wiener Konzerthaus, pianists Emmet Cohen, Sullivan Fortner and Danny Grissett present themselves for the first time as bandleaders of their own formations. Emmet Cohen welcomes Thomas Gansch, Grammy award winner Sullivan Fortner fascinates as a gifted improviser and Danny Grissett creates synergies between jazz and classical elements with his trio and the Mivos Quartet. Guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel has formed an all-star trio for his latest project »Touch«: with Linda May Han Oh, formerly bassist with Pat Metheny, and Lionel Loueke, guitarist with Herbie Hancock.
