Music of the New Generation
With headquarters in Barcelona and formed by renowned contemporary music performers, the ensemble CrossingLines has established itself as one of the leading advocates of new music by commissioning, performing, promoting and recording works from a whole new generation of national and international composers.
The group collaborates regularly with L'Auditori de Barcelona on their »Sampler Sèries« cycle of new music and has played in many national and international festivals of contemporary music (Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Eclat Festival Stuttgart, Sounds of Stockholm, Aahrus, Festival Mixtur, MEMMIX, CNDM Madrid, Mostra Sonora Sueca, Ciclo Vang de CentroCentro, among others). On these stages, the group has presented more than 40 premieres from the current experimental scene.
The ensemble’s unusual instrumental palette, unique artistic approach and detailed preparation of programs have made it a reference for a new generation of creators. As part of its commitment to spreading new music, CrossingLines puts on a varied and unusual program of events to bring its music to all kinds of audiences.
