Ink pitch black songs

Whether Schrammelmusik, Wienerlied, Kabarettlied, Couplet, Conference or the high art of Dudeln: Tommy Hojsa, Tini Kainrath and Helmut Emersberger provide the best Viennese entertainment – in all its forms. With Niki Hoijsa, Tommy Hoijsa's son, and Felix Hofer, Helmut Emersberger's son, the next generation is already on stage, proving how enduring and lively the genre is. The trio Lepschi, an »ink-pot black wonder« as Ernst Molden once described it, promises humorous pleasure: its »songs cultivate an interplay of the restrained violence of the Tiger Lillies, but in addition possess lyrical content like that of Karl Kraus and, on top of all that, an equally restrained thievish pleasure in illuminating the darkness.«
