Poetry of Everyday Life
»Growing up means disappointing a little« sings Pomme in »Comme si j'y croyais.« She does just the opposite. The more she grows up, the more she enchants and surprises. Pomme, whose real name is Claire Pommet, was born in Lyon in 1996. French music critics like to call her an »elf with a mature personality.«
With the musicians at her side, she finds arrangements that range from the epic to the sparse, proving that even as a folk singer you can make the certain lightness of pop audible. With guitar, cello and harp she often accompanies herself. Great recognition lies in her voice – surprisingly mature, nuanced, warm and sensual. Simple words are enough for her to turn everyday life into touching poetry.
