The Kollegium Kalksburg describes itself as »dilettante bandmasters in the best sense of the word«. But the virtuoso trio is much more than that: Heinz Ditsch, Paul Skrepek and Wolfgang Vincenz Wizlsperger have been shaping the Viennese song scene for quite some time. All three originally come from jazz, and in 1996, on the occasion of the Herz.Ton.Wien festival, they committed themselves to the »Viennese singing and musicianship tradition«. With contrabass guitar, accordion, comb, singing saw, euphonium and vinous vocals, the group has often played its way into the hearts of the Viennese concert hall audience - and will be making a guest appearance here again at the beginning of December. Sterzinger V, on the other hand, can be experienced for the first time in the Mozart Hall. The collective around the grand seigneur Stefan Sterzinger pays homage to contemporary Viennese world music with a pinch of jazz and well-formed lyrics. You can hear settings of original poems and collages from the word material of Elfriede Gerstl, Konrad Bayer and Sterzinger texts.
