Unique snapshots

Wolfgang Muthspiel is one of the »Top Ten Jazz Guitarists of the World« (Musicians Magazine). His work as a bandleader and co-leader is documented on over 30 award-winning albums. The line-ups of his recordings and concerts are hand-picked. Now the versatile guitarist and improviser is making his first guest appearance with his Chamber Trio at the Vienna Konzerthaus: with guitar, trumpet and piano, the line-up is as unusual as it is ingenious. When Wolfgang Muthspiel, Mario Rom and Colin Vallon meet, »every concert becomes a unique snapshot«, as the musicians themselves say. All three of them are very familiar to us as great improvisers, and they alternate light-footedly between spontaneity and formal structure. Because, as always, it's the mixture that counts!
