Viennese waltz for the New Year

Ambassadors of the Viennese waltz – that’s the motto under which the Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna has been interpreting the music of the Strauss family and providing the most dazzling concert experiences for more than 40 years. »Rejoice in life« is the motto for this New Year’s Eve, with compositions not only by the Strauss dynasty but also by contemporaries such as Joseph Lanner and Carl Michael Ziehrer on the programme. It’s an opportunity to end the old year on a cheerful note and welcome the new one with a few bars of the timeless Viennese waltz!
