Olympic drum roll

He came, he saw, he conquered: these winged words seem almost euphemistic when one thinks of Martin Grubinger's career. He is the epitome of the virtuoso percussionist. Whether in recitals, in ensembles or in solo concerts, the Salzburg-based multi-percussionist has been thrilling audiences internationally for decades with his technical perfection and irrepressible joy of playing. Before he celebrates his 40th birthday at the end of May in a concert with Yuja Wang and other companions and thus takes his leave of the concert stage, he can be experienced in February with his Percussive Planet Ensemble. A rousing program full of rhythm and beat awaits, which will not only make the floor of the Great Hall shake!
