Rising star in the violin sky
Learning to play the violin at the age of six, Diana Tishchenko now tours Europe as ECHO's »rising star« and is praised for her »ability to captivate audiences with her imposing poise and strong personality« (The Strad). The Ukrainian musician joined the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra at the age of 18 and in 2011 became the youngest concertmaster in its history. Among her prizes and awards are the Grand Prix Jacques Thibaud of the Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition (2018) and participation in the Kronberg Academy Chamber Music Biennale. In 2019, her acclaimed debut album »Strangers in PARadISe« was released. Diana Tishchenko has a great passion for baroque music and collaborates with the Berlin Baroque Soloists, among others. In her debut recital at the Vienna Konzerthaus, she will focus on the oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach.
