Lahav Shani, born in Tel Aviv in 1989 and best known to audiences as one of the most sought-after conductors of his generation, began his piano studies at the age of six, attending the class of Arie Vardi. During his studies at the Berlin Music Academy, he was mentored by Daniel Barenboim, among others. Since then, Shani has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and has been a regular guest at the Verbier Festival. He will make his recital debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus as part of the »Klavier im Mozart-Saal« cycle with a Prokofiev-pur program.
