Lisa Batiashvili & Friends
It is well known that the great violinist Lisa Batiashvili is not an apolitical artist. With her public protest against Russian politics and human rights violations in Russia, she has taken on the laudable role of a pioneer since 2014. It is therefore not surprising that she has implemented a call for donations "Support Ukraine" on the homepage of her foundation for the promotion of Georgian talents. Reliable clarity and quality always characterize Lisa Batiashvili's artistic statement, which once again makes her a truly exceptional musician. In the last concert of her current series at the Wiener Konzerthaus, she will present highly talented scholarship holders of her foundation aged 16 to 23: A violinist and three pianists will perform works by César Franck and others, as well as some of their own compositions, individually, together or with their patron and "Great Talent" Julia Hagen.
