Austrian percussionist Manu Delago, one of the current portrait artists inside the Vienna Konzerthaus, and Douglas Dare first collaborated on the track »Abrupt« on the 2016 album »Metromonk«. They had written this together, but were only able to record it remotely, as both were on tour at the time. When Manu Delago contacted Douglas Dare in 2020 to collaborate on some songs from »Milkteeth«, it seemed like things would finally work out. But then came the first lockdown. Her resulting version of »Wherever You Are« is now legendary. Both soothing and therapeutic, the number conveys a sense of inner peace and security despite the pressures of isolation. In 2023, the two are now on tour together for the first time, delighting their audience with a wonderful pairing of lyrical songwriting and hypnotic handpan sounds.
