In mid-November, Israeli-born Asaf Avidan will stop in Vienna with his latest solo project, »Ichnology«. According to his own statement, the folk rocker, who is known for his high-pitched singing voice and is therefore often compared to Robert Plant, picked up the guitar for the first time at the age of 26. The reason? He wanted to process his love pain musically. At the beginning of his career, he played with guitarist Roi Peled, cellist Hadas Kleinman, bassist Ran Nir and drummer Yoni Sheleg under the band name Asaf Avidan & The Mojos. After three albums together, Asaf Avidan decided to go solo. As a charismatic storyteller, the Israeli singer-songwriter shares his thoughts about life's unresolved questions with his listeners in intimate pieces full of poetry. In other songs, the multi-award-winning musician energetically clothes his sense of humor, tragicomedy and punchlines in sound. As the title of his current solo tour reveals, his personal search for clues continues.
