A private visit to Bach

They have long enjoyed great popularity: Gunar Letzbor's musical house calls with Bach, in which he slips into the roles of four great violin virtuosos and/or composers for solo violin of the time: Johann Paul Westhoff, Johann Joseph Vilsmayr, Georg Philipp Telemann and - Johann Sebastian Bach. An imaginary musical competition ensues, from which Bach does not actually emerge as the winner - the other three also have amazing things to offer on their instruments! - but nevertheless amazes all those present with his unique polyphonic view of things. From his »Sei Solo a Violino senza basso accompagnato« from 1720, the 1st Partita for solo violin BWV 1002 is performed this time.
