Gemischter Satz 2024
Welcome to the eighth edition of the »Gemischter Satz« and thus to two
days full of music, literature and art. The festival name refers to the
wine of the same name, which can be sampled during the breaks; above
all, however, it describes the eclectic selection of repertoire. At
»Gemischter Satz«, stories are told in every conceivable way: with
words, music, (visual) art and gestures. Every minute of this diverse
festival is full of delightful and inspiring encounters. In the halls,
foyers and corridors of the Wiener Konzerthaus, artists of all kinds
come together. In simultaneous concerts, at the Promenade or united at
the lively finale, they combine the new and the familiar in a meaningful
way to celebrate the uniqueness of the moment. The grandiose Musicbanda
Franui around mastermind Andreas Schett acts as the musical center. And
Dörte Lyssewski has been the literary-reciting constant since the
»Gemischter Satz« was founded in 2015. You can also look forward to
baritone Konstantin Krimmel, pianist Julius Drake, the Schumann Quartet,
the Viennese band 5/8erl in Ehr'n, jazz musician Johanna Summer, DJ
Patrick Pulsinger and actors Dörte Lyssewski and Nicholas Ofczarek, among
others. Off to the vineyard of the arts!
