Sol Gabetta
The intimate relationship that the Argentinian cellist Sol Gabetta has with her instruments - a cello by Matteo Goffriller and one by Antonio Stradivari, both from the early 18th century - is palpable in her performances: it is transmitted directly to the audience. Since her debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus in 2005, Sol Gabetta has already caused a sensation on many occasions; in her portrait series, she can now be heard in two chamber music evenings with her long-standing duo partner Bertrand Chamayou as well as in a trio with Isabelle Faust and Kristian Bezuidenhout and as a soloist with virtuoso concertos by Shostakovich and Saint-Saens.
