Listen or belong. This cycle directs our gaze into the spaces in between - to where opposites overlap, where similarities and differences merge into something new, where identity becomes the plaything of music. Echoes reflect on the walls of the context, pulling on sound and material. No force without counterforce and no form without transformation. As with Annesley Black, where the tiniest particles of sound vie for a place in memory. As with Georgia Koumará, where the music questions our norms. Idioms of the spontaneous, burned into fixed sound forms, strive for space: subdued and suppressed with Huihui Cheng, agitated and overstretched with Alexander Schubert. It is a galvanic bath for the senses and sensory organs. Something dissolves, something sticks and something remains. The voice emerges: an intrinsic instrument, inseparable from identity. In Januibe Tejera's sonic unreality, it loses almost all human character. With Beat Furrer and Sarah Nemtsov, it leads to the innermost and outermost.
