Pure literature, read by great actors: Birgit Minichmayr and Itay Tiran follow Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway, a lady of the London upper class, and the war-traumatized Septimus Smith through 1920s London in their reading from this modern classic. How can art be created despite the fear of death from a totalitarian regime? Markus Hering tackles this question with Julian Barnes' artist's novel »The Noise of Time« about Dmitri Shostakovich's eventful life in Stalin's Russia, accompanied by music by the composer. Françoise Sagan created the literary soundtrack of a generation with her novel »Bonjour Tristesse«. Lilith Häßle, Nils Strunk – known for his ingenious musical and theatrical interventions – and pianist Gabriel Cazes shed light on the scandal-ridden youthful work of a literary prodigy. Exploring the universe in three stages in one evening? Singer and galaxy fan Anna Mabo makes it possible! With an adventurous cast – Marie-Luise Stockinger, Bibiana Beglau and Valerie Pachner including band and space lawyer – she is touring with Douglas Adam's »The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy«. Next and last stop, indeed a crowning finale to the literary journey: Lars Eidinger with Bertolt Brecht's satirical »Hauspostille«.
