Nouvelles Aventures
1 Concert in the Großer Saal
3 Concerts in the Berio-Saal
With a sharpened profile, the »Nouvelles Aventures« cycle takes account of the current global reality: all of the works on the program date from the 21st century (and only one is older than ten years); eleven of the fifteen compositions are by female composers; both the authors and the performers represent almost all continents. The ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra interprets pieces by American and European composers with African roots. The Mivos Quartet and the Trio Abstrakt make their cycle debuts with chamber music composed exclusively by women. The Stuttgart-based vocal ensemble ExVoCo and the instrumental ensemble CrossingLines from Barcelona present a new sound theater work by the Greek Furrer student Zesses Seglias, which refers to the late television play »Quad« by Samuel Beckett.
