Symphonie Classique B
6 Concerts in the Großer Saal
Room plan in 8 categories (Großer Saal)
This cycle is characterized by veritable classical music: the Vienna
Chamber Orchestra and Jan Willem de Vriend present symphonic works as
well as concert arias by Mozart and Beethoven and Haydn's »Paukenmesse«.
The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Paavo Järvi devote
themselves to Schubert's symphonies, among others. The second half of
the cycle is in the hands of the Camerata Salzburg: under the direction
of Václav Luks, they present music by Bohemian composers alongside
Mozart's »Prague Symphony«. The focus of the last two concerts will be
on audience favorites Elisabeth Leonskaja and Rudolf Buchbinder. The
latter plays and conducts three concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
from the piano.
